                                              Simon Yam News: April-June 2002

                                                             don't look

June 22:    As Brazil played England, Simon Yam joined Cheung Tat Ming, Vincent

Kuk, Stephen Fung and Tien Kai Man to cover the match for HK cable. Rooting

for England, Yam had to avert his eyes as England's goalie David Seaman

missed an easy shot that cost them the game.

Yam: (courtesy Sanney): "Seaman made an unforgiveable mistake. Even I

could have stopped that shot! I'm sure he will remember that mistake for the

rest of his life! However, England didn't have much offense the entire game.

They were better sports than the Italians though. They didn't go around

making racist comments or blaming the referee for their loss. Oh well, I'm

going to cheer for Senegal now."   England lost to Brazil 2-1
