Ricky Cheng Tien Chi had talent to burn as the star of such martial arts films as Kung Fu

of 7 Steps and War of the Shaolin Temple. A skilled acrobat and stuntman, Cheng spent

several years in background roles before getting cast alongside members of the Venoms in

Chang Cheh's House of Traps and Ode To Gallantry in 1982. This was followed by lead

roles in Chang Cheh's HK and Taiwanese productions Five Element Ninjas (1982), The

Weird Man (1983), Attack of the Joyful Goddess (1983), The Nine Demons (1984)

and Dancing Warrior (1985).

Ricky had spectacular fight scenes in his role as a paid killer in Chang Cheh's Shanghai 13,

and took on Jackie Chan as the 'Willow Sword' in Chan's The Fearless Hyena.
