Ho Sau Shun 何守信

Ivan Ho Sau Shun is a household name, face and voice in Hong Kong. For over 30 years, Ho
has worked as a host and master of ceremonies on HK television; presiding over game shows,
travelogues, TV specials, entertainment and news programming. He is most famous for hosting
the hugely popular talk/variety show Enjoy Yourself Tonight in the 1970's, and the annual Miss
Hong Kong Awards, which he emceed for 15 consecutive years.
In the 1990's, Ho left longtime employer TVB for rival network ATV, and in 1999, was given a
position to anchor daytime news programming. Ivan reflected on his experiences interviewing
Bruce Lee in Lot Sze's 1999 documentary Century Hero. Yet his interaction with Hong
Kong's biggest movie stars wasn't limited to having them as guests on his shows- Ivan had a
side career as an actor himself. In 1973 Ho was among the lead actors in Chu Yuan's
groundbreaking Shaw Brothers comedy, The House of 72 Tenants. He went on to appear in a
number of dramas and comedies, including the 1975 comedy Money is Everything with
Tsung Hua and Nora Miao. Ho's last starring role was opposite Cherie Chung in
Chui Pak Lam's 1988 romance Mister Mistress.
