Hollywood's own Irene Tsu has enjoyed a successful career in film and television for
over 40 years. Ever since being hired as a dancer in the musical Flower Drum Song,
Irene has acted in dozens of American films and TV series opposite John Wayne, Elvis
Presley, Bill Cosby, James Mason, Robert Vaughn and many others.
In 1996, Irene played the role of Leon Lai's aunt in the Hong Kong film Comrades, Almost
a Love Story. Years later, Irene again played an 'Auntie' role in yet another acclaimed film
by producer Peter Chan. In Samson Chiu's Golden Chicken (2002), Tsu portrayed a veteran
prostitute turned mamasan who coaches Sandra Ng's character in the finer points of
faking orgasms.
Today, Irene is a realtor in Beverly Hills, where she has sold properties to, among others,
director Peter Chan Ho Sun and Sammo Hung.
