Barbara Wong Chun Chun directed the award-winning documentary Women's
Private Parts (2001), a frank look at female sexuality from the perspectives of a variety
of female interviewees (including director Ann Hui, porn star Annabel Chong, and
70's actress Shaw Yin Yin).
Wong's debut as an actress was also well received- she was nominated for Best New
Performer for her role as a petite and sultry prostitute in the independent film
The Runaway Pistol (2002).
In 2003, she achieved commercial success with the youth film Truth or Dare: 6th Floor
Rear Flat. This was followed by Protégé de la Rose Noire, a box office hit starring Twins'
Gillian Chung and Charlene Choi.
Barbara Wong's latest offering is the comedy 6 Strong Guys. Shot in Hong Kong and Thailand,
it teams Ekin Cheng, George Lam, Chapman To, Hacken Lee, Shaun Tam and Andy Hui.
