Angelica Lee, a talented young actress from Taiwan, has been awarded for her work
more than many performers twice her age.
Making her film debut in Sunshine Cops (1999), she developed a contemporaneous music
career in Taiwan which confirmed her standing as a pop singer on the rise.
2002 was a banner year for Angelica. She portrayed Daniel Wu's digital fantasy muse in
Sylvia Chang's Princess-D. The soundtrack contained her vocals on the new-age tune
"I Fly"; nominated for Best Original Song.
In The Eye, Lee's lead role as a blind girl whose cornea transplant surgery opens the portal
to the spirit world was awarded with Best Actress honors. In 2003, The Eye was given a
limited theatrical release in Europe and America.
